You will have enough patterns to finish a wall hanging or small lap quilt 40” x 34” (102 x 86 cm) at home Bordering, sandwiching, quilting and finally binding will all be covered.  Log Cabin is traditionally worked with one side light and the other dark with a contrast centre. The old tale is it depicted the light and dark side of the hearth in the log cabin with a red centre denoting the fire. Today anything goes but a contrast in light and dark or 2 colours with a separate colour for the centre of the log is needed to show the pattern.
